Flores Komodo Tour is a tour that is offered for the travelers who are interested to explore the unique things on Flores Island and Komodo National Park in Indonesia.
Things to see and do on Flores are: wonderful nature, unique cultural heritage, charming and friendly local people.
The trip is starting from Eastern Flores and ending it up on western Flores, Komodo Indonesia.
Komodo National Park is the home the Komodo dragon and beautiful Nature either on land or underwater life waiting to be explored.
Itinerary
13D/12N. Flores Komodo Tour
Day 1. Maumere/ Ende – Moni Village: Maumere to Moni 100KM, Ende to Moni 50KM
- Pick up at hotel or airport in Maumere or Ende to start the tour to Moni
- Driving from Maumere to Moni about 4-hours. From Ende to Moni is about 1,5 hours
- En route will stop at several nice spots
- Check in at your accommodation in Moni village for overnight
Day 2. Kelimutu and Moni Countryside Tour
- Pick up at your accomodation to start the tour
- Driving to Kelimutu Three Volcanic Colored Crater Lake
- Short trekking to the summit of Kelimutu volcano
- Enjoy the spectacular view of the Kelimutu lake and beautiful Sun Rise
- You can do trekking (if you want) after visiting Kelimutu Lake
- Visit Water Fall around Moni area
- In the afternoon, visiting Jopu traditional village
- Getting back to your accommodation for overnight in Moni
Day 3. Moni – Kelimutu – Riung (+/- 185 KM). 7-Hours Driving
- Pick up at your accommodation
- Early morning drive to Kelimutu Tri-color Lakes
- Short trekking from car parking area to the summit of Kelimutu
- Enjoy the spectacular view of the Kelimutu lake and beautiful Sun Rise
- Getting back to Moni for breakfast
- Leaving for Riung about 7-hours driving
- Visit Wologai traditional village belongs to Lio tribe
- Heading to Blue Stone Beach via Ende.
- Stop for relax or swimming at Blue Stone Beach
- Continue trip to Riung to check in at your accomodation for overnight
Day 4. One Day Excursion in Riung 17 Island Sea Park
- Pick up at your accommodation, and drop off to the pier to a catch a boat
- Getting on the local wooden motorized boat to explore the Riung Sea Park
- Stop at Kalong island to see thousands of Fruit Bats hanging on the magrove forest
- Snorkeling at several nice snorkel spots
- Heading to Pulau Tiga (Tiga Island)
- Snorkel, swim, relax and having a fun with Fish BBQ on the island for lunch
- Getting back to your accommodation for overnight
Day 5. Riung – Bajawa (+/- 70 KM). 3-Hours Driving
- Pick up at your accommodation to start the tour to Bajawa
- Stop at natural hot spring of Mageruda to take a bath and relax
- Heading to Bajawa to check in at your accommodation
- Visit Bena, a traditional village
- Explore the village by walking around
- Getting back to the hotel for overnight
Day 6. Coutryside Tour around Bajawa
- Pick up at your accommodation to start your Bajawa Countryside Tour
- Visit some unique traditional villages such as: Luba, Bena, Tolo Lela, Guru Sina
- If you want, you can mix with trekking to reach Tolo Lela from Bena
- Taking a bath and relax at natural hot spring called Mala Nage
- Take a way luch box is recommended to cover the program
- Getting back to your accommodation in Bajawa for overnight
Day 7. Bajawa – Ruteng (+/- 135 KM). 5-Hours Driving
- Pick up at your accommodation to start the trip to Ruteng
- Stop at Aimere village
- See the process of making local alcoholic drink from Palm’s Juice
- Stop at Rana Mese Natural Lake to enjoy the natural view
- Check in at your accommodation in Ruteng for overnight
- In the afternoon visit Flores Hobbit Cave called Liang Bua to see the home of Homo Floresiensis
- Getting back to your hotel for overnight
Day 8. Ruteng Countryside Tour
- Pick up at your accommodation to start your Ruteng Countryside Tour
- Trekking at KM5 in the north of Ruteng to enjoy the beautiful Rice-field terraces
- Visit Hobbit Flores Cave “the home of Home Floresiensis”
- Afternoon wandering around Ruteng town and see the local market
- Getting back to your accommodation for overnight in Ruteng
Day 9. Ruteng – Denge – Wae Rebo Trek (+/- 70KM). 4-Hours Driving to Denge
- Pick up at your accommodation to start the tour to Wae Rebo
- Visit Cara village at Cancar area
- Short trekking to the hill at Cara village to see the spectacular view of Spider Web Rice-field, called Lodok
- Leaving for Denge village
- Trekking from Denge up to an impressive traditional village of Wae Rebo for about 3-hours
- Enjoy the view around the village and interacting with local commmunity
- Dinner and overnight at the Guest House (one of the traditional house in the village)
Day 10. Wae Rebo Trek – Denge – Labuan Bajo (+/- 100 KM). 4-Hours Driving
- Breakfast in the Guest House at Wae Rebo
- Trekking down back to Denge village
- Driving to Labuan Bajo
- Stop t several places for enjoying the view and making picture
- Drop off at your accommodation in Labuan Bajo for overnight
Day 11. Labuan Bajo – Kelor Isand – Menjerite Bay – Kalong Island (L,D)
- Pick up at hotel or ariport in Labuan Bajo
- Drop off by car to the harbor to catch a boat trip
- Getting on the boat and heading to Kelor island.
- Short treeking in Kelor for beautiful panoramic view
- Continue trip to Menjerite bay
- Off-shore snorkeling at Menjerite
- Lunch is served on the boat
- Heading to Kalong to see thousands of Frut bats while enjoying the spectacular sun set
- Dinner and overnight are on the boat
Day 12. Padar Island – Pink Beach – Komodo Island – Manta Point – Taka Makasar (B,L,D)
- Breakfast is served on the boat.
- Trekking for spectacular panoramic view on Padar island
- Heading to Pink Beach for snorkeling, swimming and relaxing
- Boating to Komodo island
- Trekking on Komodo island to find Komodo dragon and other wildlife
- Lunch is served on the boat
- Continue boating to Manta Point and Taka Makasar
- Snorkeling at Manta Point and Taka Makasar to find Manta rays (no guarantee to find them)
- Dinner and overnight are on the boat
Day 13. Siaba Island or Sebaur Island – Labuan Bajo (B,L)
- Breakfast is served on the boat
- Snorkeling at Siaba or Sebayur
- Heading back to Labuan Bajo
- Luch is served on the boat before check out of the boat
- Drop off to the hotel or airport in Labuan Bajo
