Explore Kelimutu Volcano Lake allow you to witness and have an experience to see the beauty of Natural wonders in the middle of Flores Island, Kelimutu Lake. Kelimutu Lake was formed due to volcanic activity which then caused the emergence of 3 basins.
Additionally, these three lakes have different colors and can change without an exact pattern and cannot be predicted. It depends on how active the chemical reaction happened on these three lakes.
This trip will not only visit Kelimutu three color lake, but also exploring the beautiful nature and unique culture of people living on middle Flores Island.
Itinerary
2D/1N. Kelimutu Volcano Lake Tour
Day 1. Maumere – Moni Village (-+100KM). About 3-Hrs Driving
- Pick up at your accommodation or airport
- Driving to Moni village
- En route will stop at several nice spots
- Visit Koka Beach for swimming and relaxing and enjoying the beach vibe
- Stop at Wolowaru to know about the Lio cuture and see the traditional house village
- Heading to Moni village to check in at your accommodation
Day 2. Moni – Kelimutu – Ende (+/- 50 KM). 2-Hours Driving
- Pick up at your accommodation
- Early morning drive to Kelimutu Tri-color Lakes
- Short trekking from car parking area to the summit of Kelimutu
- Enjoy the spectacular view of the Kelimutu lake and beautiful Sun Rise
- Getting back to Moni for breakfast
- Continue trip to Ende
- Stop at several places to enjoy the nature
- Visit Wologai traditional village belongs to Lio tribe
- Check in at out accommodation in Ende for overnigh
Note: You can start this tour from Ende and end it up in Maumere. Or back to Ende
