Explore Flores Island in 5 days allow you to experience the highlights of Flores tour attraction. It is includes visiting the Wae Rebo traditional Village in West Flores and the Kelimutu Three color lake in Ende.
Note:
- This tour can also be started from the East Part of Flores Island that is Ende or Maumere and end in Labuan Bajo.
Itinerary
Explore Flores Island
Day 1. Labuan Bajo – Wae Rebo Village(+/- 100 km to Denge Village; the starting point for trekking to Wae Rebo)
- Pick you up at your hotel in Labuan Bajo, then heading to south coast of Flores Island to Denge Village as your start point for trekking to Wae Rebo Village
- Trekking to the this Village can spend 3 hours in 9 Km through the lush forest, going up to the mountain area.
- Arriving at the village, you will see charming traditional houses belongs to Manggarai Tribe.
- Warmest welcome by the friendly local people in Wae Rebo Village.
- Then Overnight at one of the traditional house that is usually used for travelers.
Day 2. Wae Rebo Village – Ruteng (+/- 70 KM around 3,5 hours drive)
- Breakfast in Wae Rebo Village.
- Enjoy the amazing atmosphere around the village while interacting with local people here.
- Trekking Down to the Denge Village as The parking area for your car.
- Drive to Ruteng . En route we will stop at Cancar Village.
- Enjoying and seeing the biggest rice field on this area shaped like huge spiderwebs.
- Continue the journey to Ruteng and check in at your Hotel.
Day 3. Ruteng – Bajawa (+/- 135 KM, around 5 Hours drive)
- Pick Up at your hotel
- Drive to Bajawa.
- En route we will stop at Rana Mese as a natural crater lake.
- Stop at Aimere village to see the process traditional alcohol drink (Sopi/Moke) which is processed out of palm juice.
- Heading to Bajawa and check in at your hotel in Bajawa.
Day 4. Bajawa – Moni(+/- 170 KM, around 6 Hours drive)
- Pick Up at your hotel. Then driving to the traditional village called Bena Village.
- Drive to the east part of Flores Island and stop at Blue Stone Beach.
- En route we will stop at a photo spot with the background of Ebulobo Volcano.
- Arriving at the Blue Stone Beach. Here you can relax or just take a pictures. Or just enjoy fresh coconut at the restaurant on the edge of the beach.
- Then continue the journey to the Moni village via Ende Town. En route we will stop at several beautiful spots including visit the traditional village called Wologai Village as a part of Lio Tribe.
- Stop at Traditional market in Ndu’a Ria.
- Arriving at Moni, check in at your hotel.
Day5. Moni – Maumere (+/- 100 KM, around 3 Hours drive) or Moni – Ende (+/- 50 KM)
- Today, we will pick you up earlier around 04.00 AM to catch a sunrise at Kelimutu Three Color Lake as one of the highlight on Explore Flores Island.
- Driving to Kelimutu will spend 1 hour to the parking area as a start point for your trekking.
- Then start trekking to the summit of Kelimutu Lake through the path stairs.
- Upon the top of Kelimutu, Enjoy the landscape around while enjoy the sunrise.
- After that, back to the parking area and drive back to the Hotel in Moni for brakfast.
- Then, drive to the east of Flores to Maumere if you take a flight from Maumere Town for your next tour destination
- or Drive back to Ende if your flight is via Ende Town.
- En route we will stop at several spots before your tour is come to an end in Ende or Maumere.
- Drop at your hotel or at the airport for your next destinations.
- Finally, your tour in explore the Flores Island is end.
